May your June be filled with beauty!
Happy belated Memorial Day. Hopefully you were able to spend some quality time with those you love.
Today marks the 79th anniversary of D-day when American troupes stormed the shores of Normandy. This was the beginning of a larger invasion of Allied troupes which ultimately brought an end to World War II, liberating Europe from German occupation, and freeing those who managed to survive the horrors of forced labor, starvation, extermination and medical experimentation in concentration camps.
Marking these moments should remind us that life is precious, fragile and that liberty and freedom are worth defending.
As I put together this edition of Monthly Clickables, I am blessed to be looking out the window of my office to lovely green trees, beautiful flowers and mild weather.
I hope that as you begin to enjoy these summer months you feel light, lifted and surrounded by beauty!
On a personal note…
In just a few days I will be taking a much needed vacation with my family. Since I’ll be gone, I’ll be cuing up a few greatest hits to send out, some of you will have read these pieces already (but most of you are new, so these will be new to you!). For those who have read them, I’ll be adding a few updated thoughts so that there’s some freshness for you to enjoy as well.
Because of this travel, there will be no Subscriber Zoom this month.
Instead, as I mentioned in last week’s essay Relationship, Relationship, Relationship, you’re invited to book some one on one time with me in July. (For those of you who have already taken advantage, and have scheduled virtual coffee with me, I am really excited to connect!!)
In professional news - I still have room for three Coaching Clients for September
If you want to master the art of great communication, then you need practice. Learning new skills in a training or keynote, or reading about them in a book are great early steps, but real transformation takes more energy and intention.
The good news is doing the work can be fun, easy and rewarding with the support of a great thought partner and coach.
I have room to take on new clients this Fall, but I only have room for three more. Are you one of them?
Here’s what one of my previous clients had to say about working with me
“I wholeheartedly recommend working with Aden to anyone facing a life or work change! I first worked with Aden as I started my first job search in 15 years, with a personal coaching program that allowed me to get re-connected to my inner motivators and values. She compassionately helped me navigate through the uncertainties of the job and life changes I was facing and I am now well-prepared to take each next step towards reaching my goals, both now and in the future.”

And now… The Clickables!
I’ll be honest with you, 100% of what I consumed in May related to this vacation. Now that those plans are in place, I’ve had the opportunity to start clicking on things again. Some of these links will be quite fresh!
This month, there are just a few inks, and I’ve broken them into these categories:
Health
Entertainment
Crafting!
As always my intent in sharing any of these things with you is to help us connect as humans. Think of this as opening up a water cooler conversation. Your opinions matter to me, so if you have strong reactions (positive or negative) to any of the things I share, please drop a comment so we can discuss!
Health
I just finished listening to this interview and found it be great food for thought. .
In my family we tend to focus on the eating and sleeping of it all. Where I can definitely up my game is on the type and frequency of exercise I schedule for myself. I’m particularly inspired by a recent client in Omaha who gets up at 5am to Jazzercise!
WOW!
Time for me to start doing the same! (Though probably not at 5am…)
Entertainment
My husband, my dad and ME… we are all hooked on Silo from Apple TV. If you like Noir, Sci-Fi and Dystopian Futurism, this show does not disappoint.
Here’s what Roger Ebert has to say about the show: “It’s thrilling to see something this confidently plotted, always a step ahead of the viewer but not far enough down the narrative path that we don’t want to see what’s around the next corner.” (Read his review.)
Crafting!
Using this pattern, I made a super cute project basket/bag for my mom (modeled by her adorable pup Lily.)
My next exciting project involves this super cute pattern!
What cool, interesting and weird stuff did you discover in May? What’s going on for you in June?
Let me know which of these links were interesting to you! I always look forward to hearing your thoughts.
But more importantly…if there things you think I would enjoy reading or watching or crafting, send your recommendations my way!
If I love your suggestion, I’ll be sure to include it in next months Clickables with a special shoutout to you!
