Thank You Note
A simple moment of gratitude

Yesterday was Thanksgiving for many of you. My family celebrates today. Some might argue that this holiday has a questionable mythology… and that may be true. However, the role this holiday serves has become hugely important in my life. For me and my family, Thanksgiving serves as a day to pause and reflect on all we have to be thankful for. The very act of gratitude can be a transformational and so we do this no matter what. In some years this has been easy, and in others it has been a challenge, but I wanted to take a moment now to say Thank YOU!
This has been a fascinating year for my little family. If you’ve been reading my four part series (part four is still on the way) then you know we have been through some things. But amidst the downs, there have been some tremendous ups as well. For example we’ve just wrapped up a remarkable year of improv related travel where we traveled sometimes multiple times a month, performing and teaching in festivals as close as Bellingham, WA and as far away as the Netherlands.

This has impacted my ability to keep up with any kind of regular publishing cadence, but you (yes YOU!) have still stayed connected, and for that I am immensely grateful.
My list of Thank You’s this year include:
My improv upbringing in Austin, TX. Even though my improv beginnings date back much further, I matured in Texas and I wish my friends at the Hideout Theatre, and Merlin Works Institute for Improvisation tremendous luck and blessings in their new chapters.
My family who are loving, patient, adventurous and thoughtful humans
My closest friends who have been there for me through the hardest conversations and who lift my spirits to soaring heights!
And you who subscribe here. You motivate me to continue writing and remind me to share what I know and what I learn, as I continue to grow in service to making this messed up world a more joyful place, even when that means pausing to acknowledge that hard things happen.
As a thank you to you, I would like to invite you to a personal virtual coffee date together. We can spend our time simply having a nice chat, or if you have a specific question about something happening in your workplace dynamics, I’m happy to tackle that with you too. To take advantage of this offer, simply click here and grab a time in December or January.
Please note, that there are over 1,000 of you and limited space on the calendar so (thing 1) act quickly to grab a spot and (thing 2) if all spots are taken, but you are interested in connecting, send me a quick email and I will see what I can do!
I’m wishing you and your loved ones a fulfilling holiday season and may we all have a blessed New Year!
Thank you!
