This is exactly what I've been needing. The push to take sides has been real and taking sides seems to include agreeing with every single thing someone says. I feel like I need to make t-shirts. "Nope. No. That's okay. I abstain."
Thank you for this Aden. I deeply appreciate it. Right now I am reaching out as I can to friends that I think are needing space to express and just listening. As a mostly agnostic person who was raised Christian and has rejected it but probably still holds that cultural lens, this is most definitely not my cultural/historical/ lane per se, but I do know that MANY people are suffering and what I can do is listen and hold space (for anyone who needs it). I am boggled, baffled, confused, and constantly reading right now because this is huge and dark and heavy and stark and horrific. But first and foremost, I want to hold space for people I love to share what they might need to share with me (if even they want to do that).
